Meditation

The primary goal of our group is to bring spiritual light down into the personal experience of each of the group members and to then express that light as love and service to humanity.

Meditation as taught by Ron Thurlow is an experiential group practice based upon the work of Martin Muller who called this method Calisthenics. Its goal is to improve perception and refine sensitivity to higher spiritual frequencies while establishing a cohesive group life.

The intention of group life is to anchor spiritual light and love on the planet. To do this work successfully requires a measure of personal integration and maturity from each member. Dedication to the service of humanity is a commonly held focus as group members relax their own desires. As the group life becomes cohesive, the members allow Spirit to fulfill Its purpose through the group by providing a spacious instrument and clear intention to ground the Christ principle.

Meditative Practice

In practice, each person sits comfortably erect with eyes open while music (usually classical) is played. Subtle frequencies in the music resonate within, heightening conscious awareness of vibratory intensity. Alignment with the down flow of spiritual energy, while surrendering the ego to the will of the soul, opens the heart to a spontaneous stream of pure love. Sitting in deep stillness when the music stops, the group becomes intensely aware of Being and the spiritual Presence which connects us to everything. We become identified with the web of light or field life, rather than our separate selves. Group life is a visible and palpable expression of our oneness with the universe. This experience increases with each member’s conscious participation.

Group meditation opens a sacred space that is inaccessible in solitary meditation. The life of the whole group is greater than the sum of its individual members. This truth is expressed in the word of Jesus Christ, ”For where two or three be gathered in My name, there I am in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20
